Showing traffic dipped in March and April but is now right back on pace.

As I’m sure you can imagine, I get a lot of calls from clients wondering about how the pandemic has impacted the market. In a previous video, we talked about the fact that there were fewer sales, but also much less inventory available. Today I’m going to focus on home showing activity over the last few months.

“There will be more buyers this summer than last.”

What happened with showings over the last few months? They did decline to a low of 44.5% fewer showings this year versus about an increase of 35% the same time last year. There is over a 70% spread between those two numbers. This trend continued until April 12, when showings started to increase. Right now, showings are right around where they were at this time last year.

Right now is a great time to sell because buyers are paying top dollar. Demand is high due to low interest rates, and you couldn't ask for a better market in which to move. There will be more buyers this summer than last summer because of our pent-up demand.

If you have any questions for me about the market or real estate in general, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone at 602-738-9943 or email jason@thepenroseteam.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
